Plot Twist: the reason advanced technology looks old timey in these movies is that the characters just like the aesthetic

they pay more so their tech looks like that but they just have like iphones inside the cases

I legit wish there were tech companies out there making stuff in the 80’s sci-fi aesthetic. Even if they were niche, limited run things, I’m certain there’s a market for it.
