Isn’t it funny how Infinity War can juggle over 30 characters, ranging from an imortal god to a talking raccon and everyone justice while telling a compelling story, but The Last Jedi couldn’t figure out how to handle Luke and Snoke?

No, what’s funny is how wrong you are about The Last Jedi.

lol this is such a typical TLJ stan comment …

You should look in the other replies back and forth.

Everyone can admit there is a flaw episode onethroughseven, but this fucking film… No Stan wants to say a damn thing except for that it’s fucking perfect.

I can’t even muster up any more essays. There are literally hundreds of people writing better scenarios. Some of them follow even the same exact concept but with better execution. I have never met one group of people who want to suck off one director more.

It’s silly. Like there are so many things I love and still I know their flaws and criticise them. This includes TFA which made me fall in love with SW and the OT itself … so … these people seem just like their beloved idol RJ to me … arrogant and ignorant …

I just don’t understand the “no it’s perfect and it did nothing wrong!! >:o” attitude that a lot of the stans have. I’ve liked movies and shows before and had no problem admitting that they are objectively not well done. Hell, I love the xfiles and I have no issue admitting its heavily flawed in multiple ways. So I don’t get why people who like the film so often don’t want to admit that it really did anything wrong or could’ve done things a lot better.

I was born in the early 90’s, my entire family, an Interacial family of black and Brazilians, sat down and watched the entire OT every couple months for a marathon. Then we saw the prequels later and admittedly still loved them. We have played the KOTOR games, read the old books from legends. We grew up and enjoyed Star Wars before Disney. We New Star Wars wasn’t perfect, but very few movies are and we still love them enjoyed all the same.

Then eventually Disney bought Star Wars and there was a new Canon, we saw the force awakens and we loved that too. It wasn’t perfect but we still loved it and we were happy that the franchise that we loved came back and revitalized for entitled generation. I was finally a young adult and I could enjoy the franchise.

I noticed something though, along with the new fans that were introduced because of TFA, there were a group of fans who didn’t know or barely knew about Star Wars outside TFA. They didn’t know about the Mandalorions, the origins of the Sith, Kotor games, nothing.

Rian Johnson is this person. He actively shows in interviews his knowledge for this world is limited to a basic understanding of the films. He’s the guy who roots for the Empire not because from a sociology point of view they have managed to keep the galaxy in peace for 20 years, but because they are cool. Watching the film you realize that he can’t even differentiate the rebels from the resistance. He can’t even remember the events of TFA. Many defenders of the film tell us that this is a new trilogy and stop comparing it to the old but this directory keeps forgetting about the movie that came right before his.

TLJ is littered with continuity errors just between TFA to TLJ. The film takes place seconds after the last film, but in that time TFA went from losing a super weapon to conquering the system, within seconds! Rey has become a completely different character. Hux lost all his intimidation and apparently respect. Kylo Ren forgot he killed Han Solo, as did everyone else. No one mentions Starkiller base or how Finn was running around with a lightsaber, the Tico sisters appear out of nowhere, the resistance loses all of their advantages, Poe’s team disappears without mention and he is now trigger happy, Finn forgets his childhood when it’s not plot relevant. Snoke is now a Bond villain. Leia is MARYY POPPINS (Y’all) with no mention in any mention till TLJ, not even her solo novel set between ROTJ and TFA, even though that has continuity in of itself since the author didn’t read TFA script. Rey and Luke’s demeanor totally changes within seconds, even though JJ explicitly states that Luke knew who and why Rey was there and looked at her with kindness.

This entire event is scraped into a joke! Why? Because it was what Rian wanted. JJ and the original EP 9 Director had no plans of killing Luke or making him weak, but Rian did, because he wanted it.

He turned Poe, a cool, calm, and admirable man, who was able to look past a uniform and trust a stormtrooper, into a hot headed flyboy who was willing to let countless people die just because he thought it was right. Seriously this guy was great in the first film but Rian wanted a hot head.

Rey was a flawed, but admittedly compelling character who trusted slowly, but cared deeply about people and had a strong desire to find her family. She hated people who hurt others or the ones adores like Finn. She literally had a voice in her head telling her to kill Kylo because she HATES HIM. Within seconds she’s willing to trust Kylo Ren and acts like she’s known him since birth, even though TLJ takes place within 18 hours, ignoring the giant continuity error since it goes from day to night multiple times. Why? Because Rian wanted it.

Finn is an ex child soldier! He wasn’t a bad one either. The script, novels, and film went out of their way to say Finn could of been a Captain but his refusal to kill civilians hinders him. Finn cares about doing what’s right and risked his life to save Poe, Rey, and the entire galaxy. He was already brave. Maybe even force sensitive. TLJ comes and all of this is forgotten and he has to learn to be brave. Why? Because Rian Johnson wants it!

Hux is a motherless bastard raised by an abusive father. He is one of the most dangerous men in the ENTIRE First Order, he is Kylo Ren’s equal who openly warns him yet the two have known each other where Kylo Ren doesn’t need to wear a mask in front of him. TLJ, HE RANDOMLY TURNS INTO A JOKE AND SOMEHOW GROWS BUSHY EYEBROWS! Yes that annoys me too! Sideburns don’t work like that! Who did the continuity?!

Kylo Ren isn’t even remotely the same. He went from someone who worshipped Vader to a cult like presence, a conflicted yet powerful man who had actual doubt to a literal bi polar monster who’s trying to kill everyone but also crying every five seconds. Seriously everything that made the character interesting was lost between films and became an avatar for Rian Johnson to live out his fantasies. I hope Adam locks his doors at night.

Where the fuck are these guys and who the fuck are they?!

Snoke managed to destroy the entire happy ending of ROTJ, rebuild an entire army from scratch, turn the son of two war heroes into a villain and even when he loses his super weapon, he calmly accepts defeat and proceeds further. It is said in detail that he plays the long game and shares none of the arrogance that destroyed the Sith and Jedi. He’s neither. Come TLJ he’s a Bond villain and it doesn’t cause he’s dead. Why? Rian Johnson wanted it so fuck you.

The Last Jedi makes no sense because Rian Johnson didn’t care!
