I wanted to talk about the Hawkeye fandom.
We all complained in great length about the ridiculously low screen time Hawkeye got in the Avengers. In fact, he got less than half the scree time the second less shown avenger, Thor (25:52), and less than third the time of the most shown avenger, Captain America (37:42).
Despite that, Clint Barton is part of two of the three most popular ships on AO3 in the Avengers fandom. He’s second with Phil Coulson, with 2525 fics and third with Natasha Romanov with 2116!
That’s why I love this fandom. We took the canon and had no shame twisting it and moldling it to suit our wants and nedds, no matter what Marvel tried to tell us.
They told us Coulson died? we certainly didn’t beliebe them, and look, we made them change their mind.
They told us Clint Barton didn’t matter. We told them he does.
There are now 10,309 fics in the Clint/Coulson tag!
