What I say: Country music blows

What I mean: Modern country music, especially songs sung by modern male country artists, revolves around similar themes of toxic masculinity and nationalism. The recurrent lyrics referencing guns, trucks, beer and girls in short shorts are uncreative and not entertaining in the least. However, older country artists and folk rock bands such as Creedence Clearwater Revival and Johnny Cash have stronger, more diverse themes and often carry an overt anti-war message. I hate the fact that what was once an interesting and powerful genre of music has now been claimed by gun-toting conservative bearded dudes, and it hurts my heart to say I hate country music when there are so many country artists that I very much enjoy, but cannot state the fact that I enjoy country music without being associated with the aforementioned group.

THANK YOU

Yeah, this put into words how I feel about country music.

This is why I only listen to female country artists.

At least, as far as popular country goes.

But that’s also why southern gothic indie country is where it’s at.

Southern Gothic Indie Country🤔🤔🤔

Oh honey, it’s a thing. So twangy and spooky. So good

Names of bands pls

The Handsome Family, Townes Van Zandt, The Dead Weather, The Civil Wars, Cary Ann Hearst and the Carolina Chocolate Drops are a good place to start. I feel like some songs from Nick Cave, Jack White and Hozier also fall into this category.

Differences Between Scrooge and Glomgold in the 2017 Reboot

randomnessoffiction:

In our first look at Glomgold in the reboot, Glomgold was standing behind this mural in the lobby:

It’s clearly inspired by 1950′s Communist China propaganda posters. Glom gold is where the sun would be, overlooking ducks who toil for him, while he grows fat of their labor

Now look at the mural Scrooge has in his office, inspired by murals the WPA did in the 1930′s

Scrooge his working besides his employees on the line; notice he isn’t wearing his fancy coat, but a pair of overalls instead. Scrooge doesn’t see himself as the boss, he sees him as another employee instead
